On the heels of the Subaru BRZ STI concept shown at LAIAS, it’s news of the 2013 production version of the BRZ Sport Coupe. Built on a shared platform with Toyota (see the GT 86 here), the two vehicles share a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter horizontally opposed boxer engine, a choice of 6-speed manual or automatic (with shift paddles) transmission, rear-wheel-drive layout and a low center of gravity. The Subaru will have a few more horses, 200 vs 197, and 151 lb-ft. The BRZ Sport Coupe will be taking the stage at tomorrow’s Tokyo Motor Show.
