Details: The sculpture, installed at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, celebrates Mercedes-Benz motorsport through three centuries (started in 1894). Back to back, facing up is a modern Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team F1 W04, raced in 15 Grands Prix in 2013 by Lewis Hamilton, and facing down, a 1934 Mercedes-Benz W2, winner at its first outing at the notorious Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Both are "Silver Arrows", a tradition started with the paint on the 1934 Mercedes-Benz W2.
