Details: Midsummer Installation is a series of experimental objects that twist the classical flower vase into an object inspired by these Nordic traditional rituals, typically celebrated at the end of June. Concrete cylinders are intersected by solid discs covered with wild springs and wildflowers native to Scandinavia.

"Dancing around the maypole in June for midsummer is a ritual that is one of the most important during the year." says Thulstrup. "Greens and flowers are collected and used to decorate the maypole and young girls make crowns out of wild springs and wildflowers to wear on their heads."
