Rope-enhanced: Nodo Cabinet by Andrea Brugnera for Formabilio offers clean, minimal lines in oak veneer, with inclined solid oak feet, and customizable rope door handles that can be configured into letters, numbers, and symbols on a nine-hole grid.

Details: In spruce blockboard, plated and lacquered with water-based varnish. Made by Live In, a family-run wood shop in Colle Umbert, Italy. Part of the Nodo collection for Formabilio, a Made in Italy furniture-online start-up that works directly with designers and small manufacturers.

Designer: Andrea Brugnera graduated in Wood Industries from the University of Padua (2009) with the thesis, "Honeycomb cardboard furniture," and specializes in cardboard installations and kids' furnishings. He has been working at Luciano Bertoncini Studio, in Treviso, Italy, since 2004.
