Kolo Sand & Kolo Magnet Lamps by Pani Jurek

Handle me lighting: Kolo Sand & Kolo Magnet Lamps by Pani Jurek combine the mechanical and the hands-on: Sand, reversed like an hourglass, progressively obscures the light as the grains accumulate; Magnet's movable magnetic disk acts as a shield to control intensity.

Details: In plywood and acrylic glass. Sand is filled with glass sand; the sand fall can be stopped by adjusting the lamp at an angle.

Designer: Pani Jurek was founded by artist/designer, Magda Jurek, a graduate in painting of th Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Her workshop is in the village of Błędów, Poland.
