Withering: Ashes Vases by Birgit Severin is a series of full and progressively collapsed rubber vessels, exploring the brevity of life and the inevitably of death through the symbolism of withering, as in flowers, fruits, vases.

Details: The production process involves "3D printing, rubber rotation casting and freehand modelling to produce a flowing, matte surface overlayed with a sparkling pattern of jewel-like dots."

Designer: Birgit Severin, based in Berlin, has a Masters in Contextual Design from Design Academy Eindhoven, and a Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience from Maastricht University.
