Oak and fine feathers: Yas Armchair by Samuel Accoceberry for BOSC combines an oak base with an attached eiderdown and down-and-feather pillows; the frame references the shepherds on stilts who once roamed BOSC's home region in Aquitaine, France.

Details: Available as a one-, two- or three-seater. New furniture brand BOSC bases its designs on the expertise and materials - feather, oak, wool, leather - traditional to its location on the edge of the vast Landes forest, once a marshland, now cultivated to trees. BOSC launches at Maison&Objet Paris, January 24 to 28, 2014.

Designer: Industrial designer Samuel Accoceberry is based in Paris, where he is co-design director of BOSC. He also works in graphics and photography.
