Seaside House by Ultra Architects
by Ted Savage / December 4, 2013
Concrete/wood role reversal: Seaside House by Ultra Architects, seaside in Poland, relies on a massive reinforced concrete shell for structural stability on a challenging site with a high water table.

Continued as the interior design theme, the cool, gray, rough-textured concrete is left to dominate indoors, lightened by large expanses of window, bright wood floors, and the occasional white wall, while the exterior is warmly clad in wood. Photos by Jeremi Buczkowski. Via ArchDaily.
