One carpenter, one house: Villa Bruun Country Retreat by Haekli Architects, in Kuopio, Finland, is an all-wood structure, save for brick tile floors, built by a single woodworker, with carefully chosen materials, including knot-free aspen for the ceilings and cross-laminated pine for many of the furnishings.
