A salt (and spice) dispenser cast from history, Saliera Saltcellar by Thomas Feichtner reinterprets Benvenuto Cellini's famous 16th century original, the rolled gold Saliera salt and pepper-conveying sculpture.

The modern Saliera, solid silver, gold plated inside, is tilted to provide two-finger access, sprinkle with a pinch.

Created for Jarosinski & Vaugoin, a sixth generation family silverware firm in Vienna that produced several replicas of the original (including one presented by Austria as an official state gift to Queen Elizabeth II in 1969).
