Transforming raw binary data from computer memory into warm woven tapestries is handily accomplished via the Fragmented Memory Process by Philip Stearns.




The method involves a snapshot of the memory state converted to image with custom software, then translated to textile using a computerized industrial Jacquard loom at the Audax Textielmuseum's Textiellab, in Tilburg, the Netherlands. (See also: Glitch Textiles.) Via Notcot.
