A study in contrasts that harmonize, Fremantle Additions by Jonathan Lake Architects, enhancing an old, closed, metal-roofed limestone colonial bungalow in Western Australia.

The addition replaces a rear lean-to containing kitchen, dining, bathroom and laundry, and adds an ensuite to the main bedroom, employing rammed limestone for a rough-textured walls, ample glazing to open up the interior, and a metal roof designed for light and ventilation, upgrading the living experience while complementing the original structure.
