Racket Chair by the Campana Brothers

Seating that recycles itself, Racket Chair by the Campana Brothers, in their Racket collection, combines bent brass, nylon stitched base, and a hand-stitched motif made from remnant backings of Thonet chairs, originally designed over a century ago.

Based in Sao Paolo, Brazil, brothers Fernando and Humberto's Estudio Campana is possibly the best known design practice in the southern hemisphere.

The chair is part of the Concepts exhibition, the Brothers' first solo US show, at the Friedman Benda Gallery, June 5th to July 3rd, 2013, in New York.
