Appartement Spectral by BETILLON / DORVAL‐BORY
by Ted Savage / May 8, 2013
Taking a highly scientific, technical approach to lighting selection, Appartement Spectral by BETILLON / DORVAL‐BORY, a small studio in Paris, uses the dramatically different properties of different light sources to delineate space, with monochromatic low-pressure sodium lamps (used on highways) in the bedroom area, and near-daylight fluorescents illuminating the living and kitchen space, where it blends naturally with sunlight.
