A modern extension to a 1940s duplex in Montreal, Berri Residence by NatureHumaine adds three levels, with the focus on the dining room as a social center for dining and discussion.

Maximizing the window area creates an open lightness, offsetting the heavier feel of the wood cladding. A master bedroom on the lower level overlooks a sunken garden. Via ArchDaily. Photos by Adrien Williams.
