The foundationless approach accommodates the poor soil quality of a former landfill site and provides minimal land disturbance. Heat and cooling are geothermal. Pressure-treated porch flooring is used instead as siding. The floor framing uses 2x12s salvaged from the dancefloor at the homeowners' wedding. Via Archinect. Photos: Charles Davis Smith.
