On the way to custom shoes for everyone, New Balance 3D Printed Spike Plates employs selective laser sintering to manufacture spikes to the individual specs of elite runners.

The software-driven design process uses in-shoe sensors and a motion capture system to collect biomechanical data from world-class Team New Balance athletes. High initial costs should eventually drop, making custom footgear widely affordable. Via Hypebeast.
