El Viento Residence by Otto Medem Arquitectura
by Ted Savage / February 22, 2013
Set in a mountainous area of Madrid, El Viento (The Wind) Residence by Otto Medem Arquitectura is a series of radially intersecting planes, seemingly haphazard in placement, that in fact follow the topography of the site to strategically capture light and spectacular views, creating a flowing experience of the location as one circulates through the three levels.

A massive boulder was left in place and incorporated into the interior. Fully appointed, there are multiple bedrooms, a sauna, steam room, indoor spa and exterior swimming pool. Via designboom. Photos: Antonio Terron, Otto Medem de la Torriente, Luis H. Segovia.
