The now well-known woodblock, hand printed patterns of Richard Woods have been applied to four multicoloured chairs for an exhibition at Galerie VIVID.

Says Galerie VIVID, "the Logo chair is a functional piece of furniture, but also a statement about how art, design and craft come together."

"These 'logos of reality' are created using traditional woodblock techniques and then applied to walls as a second skin covering interior floors, walls and recently an entire residential building in upstate New York."

"In these instances, Woods's art expresses an extreme version of Englishness by taking over a space and saturating it with iconography."

Logo Chair by Richard Woods and Sebastian Wrong is on display now at Galerie VIVID in Rotterdam until March 17, 2013.
