The Woods by StokkeAustad & Andreas Engesvik
by Ted Savage / February 5, 2013
Art for industrial design's sake, The Woods by StokkeAustad & Andreas Engesvik, a collection of hand-blown tinted glass bubbles on solid glass stems, inspired by trees changing colour "in the forests of the North, "is entirely sculptural, "without any specific function other than the purely decorative," intentionally closing the gap between design and arts & crafts.
