A playful attempt at giving the printed book new purpose in the digital age, Booken by Shay Alkalay & Yael Mer is a geometric wooden framework from which books may be hung, creating a useful tabletop surface.

The idea stemmed from the observation that many books are read once, then shelved indefinitely. Created for Lema by Alkalay & Mer's young London-based design practice, Raw Edges. Via Designlines.
