Tobi-Ishi table by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby
Named for the ornamental stones used in traditional Japanese gardens, with a surface texture reminiscent of said stones, Barber Osgerby will be showing their cantilevered Tobi-Ishi table at imm Cologne 2013 next January.

Consisting of a wood table-top set on two structural polyurethane foam planes at right-angles to each other, the base provides structural stability and different looks depending on perspective. All the parts have been treated with cement grout to create a texture that resembles leather. More at B&B.
