Video: Castor Is French For Beaver by Carling Acthim & Lana Mauro
by Harry / November 15, 2012
Carling Acthim and Lana Mauro have made a short film about Toronto-based Castor that tells the story of their sustainable and now iconic lighting designs; Tank Light, Tube Light and Invisible Chandelier.

Say the filmmakers, "The viewer meets and observes the team of Castor's small Toronto operation: first fabricator Darryl Mahoney on his journey to pull together the pieces that make up the Tank Light, followed by partner Kei Ng's description of how a seemingly ugly item has beauty in a restored context and finally Brian Richer, founding partner and principal designer, who explains the philosophy behind finding new use in the most un-reusable items on the planet."
