Lucernas House by 01 Arq
by Ted Savage / November 8, 2012
Clean and simple in Catemito, just south of Santiago, Chile, Lucernas House by 01 Arq features vertically extruded windows that morph into skylights, create high ceilings and better frame the views, contributing to cross-ventilation as well.

The walls are locally-common reinforced masonry, covered in stucco, with aluminum window frames. Light, white, bright, the interior is open plan, with a sliding door that merges kitchen and dining room, and private spaces in a second volume. Via ArchDaily. Photos: Aryeh Kornfeld.
