AA Stool by Torafu Architects
by Ted Savage / November 6, 2012
Evoking the letter A, AA Stool by Torafu Architects is ultraminimal seating, made from 2x4 Canadian red cedar, that comes in pairs, standing alone or fitting together modularly to form a wider unit - combine several and it's a bench.

Each A is pinned at only four points, allowing it to be collapsed flat for stacked storage. This is Torafu's second collaboration with Ishinomaki Laboratory, a locally organized design collective tasked with "creating something new" for the community in Ishinomaki City, Japan.
