Storm Cottage by Fearon Hay Architects
by Ted Savage / October 31, 2012
Storm-proof in New Zealand, Storm Cottage by Fearon Hay Architects sits ocean-front on Great Barrier Island. The exterior, rough-hewn timber, is layered with operable perforated metal screens that moderate light, air and protection, and allow the home to be entirely shuttered when not in use.
