The house in the thicket by Kasper Bonna Lundgaard M.Arch
Built by hand by the architect himself, The house in the thicket by Kasper Bonna Lundgaard M.Arch, on an island in Oslo-fjord, Norway, is a labour of love for mother and two brothers, one with Down syndrome.
Simplicity and sensuous stimulation are reflected in wood construction of four simple structures - main house, guest house, greenhouse, garage - that form a protected atrium, the primary living space during the long summers. In winter, life retreats indoors to a compact and cozy, light-filled, firewood-heated space. Via ArchDaily. Photos: courtesy of Kasper Bonna Lundgaard.
