BeoPlay A9 Speaker by Bang & Olufsen
by Ted Savage / October 5, 2012
A rather massively powerful wireless speaker system in the form of a giant dot, the striking BeoPlay A9 by Bang & Olufsen packs a pair of ¾-inch tweeters, two 3-inch midrange units, and an 8-inch bass unit, each driven by its own Class D digital amp, for a whopping 480 watt output, powerful enough to fill a large loft.

The 70.1 cm diameter disk - that's bout 27.5" - is plug-n-play for iPhone, iPad and Android, with WiFi streaming via AirPlay and DLNA, a touch sensor for volume control, a 3.5 mm line in, and a USB jack. It can be mounted on the wall, flown from the ceiling, or stand free on its cool wood tripod legs.

And it comes in colours: silver, white, black, red, green and brown. Via Engadget.
