Azulej Tiles by Patricia Urquiola
Multiple patterns is in! The new trend is showcased in Azulej by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina, a collection of tiles for floor and wall, featuring complementary patterns designed for mix and match on the way to custom covering configurations.

Azulej is Urquiola's fourth project for Mutina. The new tile collection is inspired by ancient handcrafted majolica but is made of hydraulic cement.
Azulej is serially realised in 20x20 and 80x80 cm tiles and it is possible to create an innovative patchwork, deliberately random, which combines abstract patterns and subtle, neutral colours.
The colours themselves are fixed on the material in an irregular and natural way, seeping on the edges as in a handcrafted process.
