A respectful upstart of a family home, Nexus House by Johnsen Schmaling Architects challenged restrictive new building bylaws in a protected area of Madison, Wisconsin. The 2,000 square footer overcame vague design mimicry regulations, going modern amongst eclectic works by the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis Sullivan, Keck & Keck, and many illustrious others.
