Via @flodeau, a chair made using a wound beech wood veneer technique pioneered by Japan's Bunaco.

Štěpánková's Tamashii is an homage to a painstaking process that employs tightly wound strips of thin veneer that are carefully pushed out to create objects.


Says Štěpánková, "My goal was to discover all possibilities this technique offers and apply gained knowledge in an innovative way." More here.
