Hoffner, a student at ENSCI les Ateliers in Paris, created Alumine while exploring methods to stamp metal in an inexpensive way.
"I used the folding machine we have in the metal workshop and some secret resin recipe to make the stamping dies" says Hoffner.
"Then I used the repetition of an element that allows this process to make a stool that uses repetition in its construction itself."
"Finally, the aluminum is anodized and all the pieces are riveted together."
