From Celia Nkala, modular coated canvas-and-feathers cushion "objects", designed as thought-provokers.

Their classic shape contrasts with unexpected stiffness and light weight, situating them somewhere between "the traditional cushion, the low seat and the enigmatic object."

The cushions are made with fabrics from the auto industry, like carbon fiber, and are oddments, so each cushion is made from different and unique fabric. Says Nkala, "People don't know how to use it / see it : Sit on it or put it on a table like a sculpture. I enjoy this hesitation between the utility and the futility, in fact between design and art."
