Luxury Towers by Ministry of Design
by Ted Savage / September 20, 2011
Via @coolhunting, an elaborate luxury tower to hold cherished and valuable objects from six stages of life. Each modular component is crafted from an appropriate material: "Infant" from raw pinewood, "Schoolboy" covered with monochromatic plaid printed on leather, "Lover" in etched smoke mirror, "Soldier" from brushed steel, "Judge" with a polished gold-plated finish, and "Pantaloon" in polished petrified timber.

A protective metal case slips over the tower, which stands about 2 ft high. By Ministry of Design, the winning entry in a Saporiti design contest - production prototype built, manufacturing plans underway. More at Saporiti.
