Cloudy House by LASC studio
Via @ArchDaily, an extension to an existing 1930's house in Copenhagen, Denmark, to accommodate a growing young family. The new roof appears to unfold from the old.
Inside, old and new meet through large windows. The dominant feature in the new living room is a massive floating loft, suspended from the ceiling by thin steel rods. The loft is intended as a bedroom: with a view of the treetops and sky, "one sleeps as if on a cloud." More at LASC studio. Photos: Stamers Kontor.
