Two Single-occupancy Detached Houses in Wingert by L3P Architekten
by Ted Savage / August 31, 2011
Via @plusmood, a pair of detached houses in Oberweningen, Switzerland, resemble a "sculpturer's work" where "polygonal bodies were formed in which the mutual proximity becomes a quality." Working with artist Thomas Sonderegger, the architects created a single sheet of galvanized steel that was "deployed for a first time on the fa├žade and in the roof area. The design added to a monolithic overall picture."

Inner walls are smoothly plastered, while the exposed concrete outer walls, the black polished and jointless floor and large window fronts add to a "cool technical conclusion." More at L3P Architekten. Photos: courtesy of L3P Architekten.
