Via @designboom, a family home for seven in Japan, designed to accommodate an unusual four-generation span: mother, grandmother, siblings, and kids!

The result is "a dormitory-like layout catering to the many different lifestyles and schedules of the residents" and "a common area dedicated to a large portion of the layout, generating a neutral space that the family members could share together."
