Pine Forest Cabin by Balance Associates Architects
by Ted Savage / August 17, 2011
Via @ArchDaily, a cabin designed with a budget to meet, on a hillside in Winthrop, Washington, USA, features a simple box elevated by a concrete base.

Raising the 850 sq. ft. structure transformed "a modest living space" from ordinary room to a viewing platform with unobstructed sight-lines. For materials efficiency, standard-sized 4x8 plywood sheeting was used for finishing, inside and out. More at Balance Associates Architects. Photos: Steve Keating Photography.
