Lake Lugano House by JM Architecture
by Ted Savage / August 13, 2011
Via @stylepark, a hillside luxury home overlooking Lake Lugano, straddling the border of Switzerland and Italy, is focused around a striking glass pavilion incorporating the living and dining rooms, separated by a central block containing kitchen, powder room, storage, and "all mechanical systems and the technological and audio-visual equipment."

Environmental aspects are well-considered, with geothermal energy, argon-insulated low-emittance glass, roof gardens, and natural sun shading from strategically located trees. More at JM Architecture. Photo: Arch. Jacopo Mascheron.
