Garage Unit by LZT Architects
by Ted Savage / August 10, 2011
Via @archdaily, a fairly tiny (320 sq. ft.) apartment in Austin, Texas, USA, converted from a garage located beneath a house, uses common materials and fixtures for minimum cost.

Large windows, strategically placed for open views, open up the space. A narrow side yard is now a terrace, enclosed within a mesh fence set with cedar scraps that can be individually pivoted to allow for "infinite variations of permeability." More at LZT Architects. Photo: Murray Legge.
