Affettato misto #4 by Martino Gamper
by Ted Savage / August 5, 2011
Via @abitare, recycled furniture, above, one of many pieces created for an installation that tells a fictional character's story in an imaginary home in a gallery in Torino, Italy.

Part of Martino Gamper's Condominium exhibition at Galleria Franco Noero, the piece - like the others, objects from the streets and flea markets of Turin - is reconfigured from specifically collected made-to-measure furniture commissioned by "a certain middle-class living in Turin between the Fifties and the Seventies. This same money is spent today on design objects." Each floor of the installation space represents a different home, characters and storyline. At the Galleria Franco Noero, opening Sep. 20, 2011.
