From Pierre Favresse, a renewable energy storage system for the home. The prototype system will eventually convert water to hydrogen (with electrolysis using energy derived from windmills and/or solar energy) and then store the gas for future use.

Hydrogen would be contained in the black compartment on the left and oxygen in the volumes on the right.

In theory Hyné could provide enough energy for four people in a 100 square meter space for 24 hours before requiring replenishment by 30 square meters of solar panels (or equivalent energy source) for six hours.
