Gianicolo House by Carola Vannini
From Carola Vannini, a refurbished house in Trastevere, the heart of Rome's historical center. Says architect Vannini, "The house renovation included the complete reorganization of interior spaces, as well as the design of new furniture and lighting."

The objective of the renovation was to create a balance between the rustic ancient building structure and a modern interior.
"The kitchen is partially enclosed behind a brick wall that doesn't reach the ceiling, thus preserving the perception of the continuing space."
"The day area, conceived as an open space, overlooks a large garden and creates an 'inside out' perspective."
"The daring and functional design in the bathrooms are made possible with the use of resins and new materials."
