Dollar Store Triptych by Mark McLean
by Harry / January 29, 2011
Seen @comeuptomyroom, an artwork by Mark McLean made with 13,000 plastic army men. One of three artworks by McLean at the show, the peace sign took hundreds of hours to create. Each of the plastic army men had it's base carefully cut off and then was individually painted before being placed in the structure.

"In Triptych, Mark explores the relevance of the dollar store in our society. Are they simply a place to buy inexpensive goods or are they an economic barometer of our time?"
