IMM Cologne 2011 iPhone Apps
Via @imm_cologne & @Architonic, two free iPhone apps to help IMM Cologne trade show visitors find their way.
The official IMM iPhone app (also available for iPad) features a complete map of the koelnmesse fair grounds including all the halls and floors. More than 1000 exhibitors are listed and their booths are displayed on a 3D map. The latest news and trends are also available with the built-in news and product feeds.
The Architonic IMM iPhone app (also for iPad) is more of a curated experience, it's a "guide to the best exhibitors and products at imm cologne - the leading international design fair for the furniture industry - selected for you by our team of architects and designers." It too uses an intuitive 3D navigation system with a map that allows you to navigate the halls and organize exhibitors as favorites. The Architonic app has exclusive city events
 which can be updated for viewing offline - thus saving on roaming costs.
If your battery dies, there's always the printed version of the Architonic IMM guide (it's a 6.3MB PDF). For those at the show, actual paper versions are available for free in the stands of manufacturers who are listed in it.
