From Satoshi Itasaka, a metal stool treated with "acid rain". The stool is named for a once dense forest in Schwarzwald, Germany now showing serious damage from acid rain. The stool has had its surface processed with pH 4.0 acid, the same strength as the rain that fell on the Schwarzwald forest.

Before

"It keeps standing on its slim legs in spite of erosion by acid, which makes you associate the chair with a withered tree in the forest."
