350 Solar Canopy by PHATport
by Yvan / October 15, 2010
California's Phat Energy has launched a new line of solar panel structures. The PHATport 350 is delivered ready to assemble and it can be used as a carport, a shade canopy, or anything else you wish.

Nick Tucker, lead designer of the PHATport line says "It's the simplicity of the design that makes this a powerhouse in its class. It can sneak into the most challenging of places and fit aesthetically and spatially." The solar panels on the roof (by Sanyo) allow about 15 percent of the sunlight through while they generate 2.5 kW of electricity. The power can be directed into the home, to chargers, or to outlets via wiring that is built into the columns of the canopy.
