Alux Lamp by Christian Vivanco

In Mayan mythology, Alux was an impish character and the name reflects the dual function of the lamp and table design that carries the name. Designer Christian Vivanco collaborated with Spanish design house Almerich to fashion a tilted aluminum shade over a circular laminated steel shelf.

"Alux is the perfect solution for small spaces; thanks to its dual functionality lets it be a bedside table, an occasional table, or a hallway lamp. Alux takes the idea of a table lamp to the most literal conclusion, incorporating both terms in one product. It adds a whole new meaning to the term tablelamp."
