The 2010 London Design Festival opened today. Here are a few guides to the 9-day event that will help you navigate the various venues and London itself.

The Design Festival has teamed up with Wallpaper* magazine for an iPhone app. The LDF guide is actually embedded within the magazine's regular iPhone app. The free "extended" version is an "essential guide and exclusive edit of the best things to see during London Design Festival."

In addition to listings and maps Wallpaper* got designers Paul Cocksedge and Stuart Haygarth to select their top 10 things to see at LDF. The app also has the capability for registered Four Square users to log in and leave comments and feedback about the Festival.

The LDF also has a paper guide, The Guide, which includes the full venue and event listing for the Festival, available through all of their Partner locations. You can also download it here as a PDF.

The go-to independent guide on paper, and certainly a must-have for when the cel battery dies, would be icon magazine's pocket-sized Design Trail guide. The free guide will be available in many of the LDF venues, 100,000 copies having been printed and distributed for this year's edition. An online Flash-based version of Design Trail is also available here.
