Dike House Transformation by CSAR Architecture
CSAR Architecture sent us this renovation and extension of an old dike house in Holland.

"This old dike house by the Amstel River was originally only 85m², but it had to provide room for five children. The location is absolutely a dream for the client with his own terrace and boat in the river."
"By making an extension on two levels as well as making a garden house which is connected to the house, it was possible to build a lot of extra space.There is a new entry on the side of the house, which is much bigger than the original entry. The interior of the ground floor doesn't look like that of a small dike house anymore because of the extension."
"When passing by the house, whether it is walking on the dike or passing by boat, the extension barely shows it self from this side."
